Southeastern Distributors, Inc - Oval Boxes and Lid Options for 5/8 to 3/4 Meter Sets

Our company, Southeastern Distributors, Inc., has supplied utilities companies with a wide assortment of meter boxes and lids for over thirty years. Keeping with that tradition, we developed a new line of boxes and lids.

Using your input and help, a pyramid designed box was chosen for this new line. This design allows for greater load distribution, nesting of boxes for lower shipping cost, and greater stability in sandy soil.

Since quality is always an issue, we are using our foam molding process to construct a highly durable box that will withstand incidental traffic and does not warp during installation.

Do you have a hard to find concrete box or a thin walled box that has to be changed frequently? Replace these with our box and lid and you will be able to cut cost.

Do you use a Neptune radio read system? How about a touch pad reader? Installing an Itron reader system? Still checking each meter by hand? Utilizing our lid options, we can accommodate a wide range of meter reading technology. Since technology continues to develop, our design allows you to grow with it. Going from a hand read system to a Neptune reader system is as simple as changing the lid.

MB 16

The new MB-16 water meter box is designed for a 5/8" to 3/4" meter set. It was developed as a replacement for the heavy concrete box

(Brooks 36H).

The MB16 is versatile and strong.

The dimensions of the box are 15" x 10" x 12" and tapers to 191/2" x 14" x 12".

Pictured right is the MB16 hinged reader lid.

The MB16 remote reader lid can be used with either a Neptune RS9000 or a touch pad reader system.

All boxes and lids interchange with Brooks and CDR boxes and lids.

All lids are 13/4" thick.

MB 17

The new MB-17 was designed for utilities that use a larger 1"or 11/2" meter set.

This box replaces the Brooks 37 concrete box. The dimensions of this strong box are 18" x 11" x 12" and tapers to 22" x 151/2" x 12".

Pictured below is the MB-17 remote reader lid.

This lid can also be used with either a Neptune RS9000 or a touch pad reader system.

MB 18

Replaces Brooks Dual-H

This is our dual set meter box allowing two meters to be set in the same box with only one inbound supply line.

This new box is also made of polyethylene with dimensions of 17" x 15" x 12" andtapers to 211/2" x 201/2" x 12".

This unique box has a pyramid design flowing out to 24" square at the bottom.

The choice of one, two or possibly three sets of mouse holes is available.

The shape allows for nesting while shipping which reduces freight expense.

The anti-settling ring enhances its strength and capabilities. A variety of lids are available for this product.

Another lid option is the MB-18 dlremote. This lid can also be used with either a Neptune RS9000 or a touch pad reader system.
